Popular podcasters Jordan Morris and Jesse Thorn, dismayed by the unfortunate homophobia and bigotry displayed by the Boy Scouts of America, have created their own parallel organization called The Rocket Scouts to give children a open-minded alternative for scouting activities.  The Rocket Scouts accept all children regardless of sexual orientation, color, or age.  (One execption: no babies.)

The Rocket Scouts are still a developing organization and are currently soliciting suggestions for merit badge achievements, group activities, credos, and uniforms.
